    The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is proud to present Cine en el Barrio: Burnt Orange y Que! on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Guadalupe Theater, 1301 Guadalupe Street. This special program showcases the works of young Latino filmmakers from The University of Texas at Austin where almost 25 percent of students in the film program are now Hispanic. The program includes new films by directors Miguel Alvarez, Maru Buendia-Senties, Angela Torres Camarena, Sergio Carvajal, David Fabelo, Ivete Lucas, Marcel Rodriguez, and Gabriela Yepes. The screening is co-presented by The Department of Radio-Television-Film at The University of Texas at Austin.

    Tickets are $4; free for GCAC members. Cine en el Barrio is a monthly film series featuring classic and contemporary work by Latino filmmakers from across the globe. For more information, call (210) 271-3151 or visit www.guadalupeculturalarts.org.
