Cine+Más SF contributes to the Bay Area’s active and diverse arts scene through the San Francisco Latino Film Festival, year-round programming and special events centered on Latino arts- including the visual, performance, and literary arts. The Cine+Mas SF Latino Film Festival showcases the work of emerging and established filmmakers from the US, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. It is a celebration of the latest work coming out of the 20+ countries with which we all share a bond.
Shorts Mexico was born in 2006 due to the need and desire to have a platform for national and international shorts in Mexico City. During past years, the festival has had over 15,000 viewers in attendance, and usually receives more than 1500 submissions.
This year Shorts Mexico will have as main venues: Cineteca Nacional, Cinemex, Museo Nacional de Arte, Museo Soumaya, Centro de Estudios en Ciencias de la Comunicación CECC, Centro Cultural Universitario de la UNAM, el Instituto Goethe, Casa del Lago and many more. After the festival’s closure, the curated program will travel to different cities in Mexico and around the world.
