Bloodbank Productions is happy to announce that it will be shooting a horror teaser in the month of May in Austin , TX for the feature script of Director Maru Buendia-Senties. This would not be possible without the helping hand of fellow colleagues, friends and the community.

Short film Bienvenido by Maru Buendia-Senties is being showcased at Breaking Borders.
BIENVENIDO was developed for the BREAKING BORDERS worldwide contest of shorts shot on cell phone. Upon which, the short should have as its central thematic the story of an immigrant; creatively reflecting its work, craft, profession, or day to day reality. The way it contributes to the development of its adopted and/or origin societies, or the projects and achievements it develops in matter of art, culture, science, technology, and sports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Foreign Institute of Mexicans develops different programs and projects that support Mexicans that live beyond the borders. In the matter of culture and art, it’s focused in promoting programs for Mexican communities outside of Mexico, using these as key elements to reevaluate and strengthen their sense of identity to their country, as well as their pride for their roots and cultural heritage.

BIENVENIDO fue creado para el concurso CORTANDO FRONTERAS concurso mundial de cortometrajes en celular. Siguiendo las bases en las cuales el cortometraje deberá tener como temática central la historia de un migrante; se busca que con creatividad refleje el trabajo, oficio, profesión, ó realidad cotidiana. La manera en la que contribuyen al desarrollo de sus sociedades recpetoras y/o origen, o los proyectos y realizaciones que llevan a cabo en materia de arte, cultura, ciencia, tecnología y deporte, entre otras.
La Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, a través del Instituo de los Mexicanos en el Exterior desarrolla distintos programas y proyectos para apoyar a los mexicanos establecidos más allá de nuestras fronteras. En materia cultural y artistica, el IME promueve programas para las comunidades de mexicanos en el extranjero, a través de los cuales busca revalorar y fortalecer su sentimiento de identidad y pertenencia a nuestro país, asi como el orgullo por sus raíces y su rica herencia cultural. Con dichas actividades se contribuye a su desarrollo en las sociedad receptoras, y se atiende su necesidad por mantener sus vínculos con México y de transmitir a las personas que viven en su entorno la riqueza de su país de origen.

Entre Líneas at Vagón Film FestivalEntre Líneas formara parte del FEstival Internacional de Cine Vagón
Colectivo Vagón was born five years ago as an editorial project that driven by the desire to have a space dedicated to writing, inspired by this, the creators (Alejandro Garza, Roberto Sáenz, Mayra Chávez and Juan Fernández) began to organize poetry readings around the city. Afterwards, Colectivo Vagon adventured into other creative paths as it followed it’s inicial concern: fcreating spaces for art and cultural exhibits.
In this manner El Colectivo Vagon through PACMYC organizes in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua the First International Shorts Festival, creating a place to exhibit film.
Entre Líneas, short film made by Maru Buendia Senties will be part of the festival and will play on June 24th at 1130am in the Adolfo Mateos High School Theater.
Colectivo Vagón nace hace cinco años como un proyecto editorial del cual empujados por la necesidad de un espacio de escritura, los fundadores (Alejandro Garza, Roberto Sáenz, Mayra Chávez y Juan Fernández) comienzan a organizar lecturas de poesía en diferentes lugares de la ciudad. Después, el colectivo tomaría otro rumbos siguiendo su lema inicial: la preocupación por el arte y las manifestaciones culturales.
De esta manera El Colectivo Vagon atraves del PACMYC organiza en Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua el Primer Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes, creando un espacio de difusion para el septimo arte.
Entre Lineas, cortometraje por Maru Buendia Senties se exhibira dentro de este festival el dia 24 de Junio a las 1130am en el Teatro de la Preparatoria Adolfo Mateos.

Entre Líneas @ 4th International Shorts Fest – Film, Culture & Life –Entre Líneas en 4to Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes – Cine, Cultura y Vida –
Entre Líneas, film by Maru Buendia Senties, will showcase at the 4th International Shorts Festival – Film, Culture, & Life which opens on May 28th till June 5th at the city of Toluca, Mexico.
The International Shorts Festival – Film, Culture & Life (CICUVI) was created in order to provide an open space where filmmakers could showcase their works to the public. CICUVI promotes filmmaking and suggests that the concept of film goes beyond entertainment and that first of all it is a medium of expression. The festival creates a space of gathering and cultural convergence.
Entre Líneas will screen in Program 9:
May 31st, 8pm at MUMCI
June 2nd, 130pm at Casa de las Diligencias
June 3rd, 5pm at Casa de la Cultura
June 4th, 12pm at Casa de la Cultura
June 5th Festival Closure.

Through the Festival we honor the legacy of one of Mexico’s greatest writers, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, and pay tribute to the rich artistic accomplishments of Mexicanas from Mexico and the United States. The festival features: culinary arts, dance, film, literature, music, theater and visual arts.
Today, the Sor Juana Festival is the largest multidisciplinary festival in the United States dedicated to Mexican women and has expanded beyond Chicago. The Festival is now also celebrated in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Milwaukee and San Antonio and has won praise by media, both Latino and non-Latino.
Through the Sor Juana Festival the National Museum of Mexican Art has established groundbreaking partnerships and developed a network of cultural institutions dedicated to presenting and promoting Mexicana artists from both sides of the border. The network is a resource for Mexican/Mexican American artists and helps cultivate an awareness and appreciation of performing these artists on a national level.

A 3-day outdoor carnival of free public events and academic/artistic offerings of live music, dance, drama and performance art, as well as a student art sale, literary readings, philosophy and humanities discussions, open mic sessions, and full-on film festival.
Visitors also will have opportunities to discover their artist within – master classes, workshops, are scheduled in creative writing, dance, music, film, theater, and humanities.
The mission of ah! is to inspire, encourage, and support existing and new academic and artistic collaboration among the seven individual departments of the Arts and Hummanities Division (Art, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Foreign Languages, Philosophy, Humanities, & Religion), with other creative departments in the college and the Austin Community.

Entre Líneas at Film Festival in the Desert.Entre Líneas formara parte del Festival de Cine en el Desierto.
Entre Líneas film by Maru Buendia-Senties will be screened at the Film Festival in the Desert to take place in Hermosillo, Sonora from February 24th to 27th. The festival will showcase short films, documentaries and have several events related with the seventh art, Spain will be the special guest for the vent.
Entre Líneas will screen February 26th at 3pm at the MUSAS Cultural Center, Hermosillo, Sonora.

Maru Buendia-Senties was awarded Best Screenwriter for her script “Entre Líneas” at the Latina Independent Film Extravaganza Festival in Los Angeles, CA this past weekend. “Entre Líneas” screened twice during the festival in shorts program and competed with 17 other films.
Maru Buendia Senties fue galardonada como Mejor Guionista por su guión “Entre Líneas” en el Festival Independiente de Latinas en Los Angeles, CA este pasado fin de semana. “Entre Líneas” fue exhibida en dos ocasiones durante el festival en el programa de cortometrajes y compitió junto con otros 17 filmes.
