Film Alumni, Students Make Record Showing at SXSW Film FestivalEx-Alumnos y Alumnos tienen exhibición récord en el Festival de Cine SXSW
AUSTIN, Texas—March 13, 2009—An unprecedented number of Radio-TV-Film alumni and students will screen their films at the annual SXSW Film Festival, which starts today and runs through March 21.
Eight alumni and six graduate and undergraduate students have directed films that will screen at SXSW, while five alumni have served in key roles on a handful of films.
AUSTIN, Texas—Marzo 13, 2009— Varios alumnos y ex-alumnos del Departamento de Radio-Televisión-Cine presentaran sus películas en el Festival Anual de Cine SXSW, él cual comienza el día de hoy hasta el 21 de Marzo.
Ocho ex-alumnos y seis estudiantes de maestría y licenciatura han dirigido películas que serán exhibidas en SXSW, mientras que cinco ex-alumnos tuvieron roles principales en varias de estas películas.

La Pared (The Wall) was screened by The Territory – PBS Channel 8 in the Episode 4 Section on February 5, 2009.
THE TERRITORY, co-produced by Southwest Alternate Media Project, Austin Museum of Art and HoustonPBS in cooperation with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is the longest running showcase of independent film on public television in the country.
For the past thirty-two television seasons, THE TERRITORY has existed in Texas as an electronic art gallery, showcasing extraordinary work by filmmakers from all over the world. Originating in 1975 from the fertile minds of a group of media artists at the Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP) in Houston, the series found its first home on access television. Later it moved to Houston’s PBS station KUHT.
La Pared fue transmitida en el programa de televisión The Territory del Canal 8 de PBS en la sección número 4 el día 5 de Febrero del 2009.
THE TERRITORY, es co-producido por Southwest Alternate Media Project, Austin Museum of Art and HoustonPBS in cooperation with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, siendo el programa de television pública que lleva los más años exhibiendo películas independientes en los Estados Unidos.
En las últimas 32 temporadas, The Territory, ha existido en Texas como una galería de arte electrónico, exhibiendo trabajos extraordinarios de cineastas del mundo entero. Nacida en 1975 de las mentes creativas de un grupo de artistas del Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP) en Houston, esta serie encontro su primer hogar en televisión de acceso, para luego transladarse a la estación KUHT – PBS en Houston.
